The Gallery A Salon had the pleasure of hosting a day of business and motivational presentation delivered by the World Renowned Charles Marcus. His personal testimonials and business strategies were super inspiriing to all. His passion about the beauty industry rubbed off on all of us. He created and refueled our passion for our approach to guest services and satisfaction. All the personal testimonials and successes he has achieved, made us feel like we could conquer and do anything we set our minds to. Not only did he deliver motivation, education and inspiration, he was also very entertaining and funny.

NJ Housewives Hair and Makup
The Gallery would like to thank our awesome stylists Claudia, Alyssa and Lily for doing a great job on all the models hair from POSHE boutique. And for our very own make up artist Kelly for making the models look dynamite! Way to go team!

Hair Camp
On April 18 and 19, Five of The Gallery staff members, Johnna, Alyssa, Giulia, Brianne, and Lohammy all attended Paul Mitchell’s Hair Camp. Carla Ford, Artistic Director and Master Paul Mitchell Educator, was one of the leaders for the 2 day event for 150 hairdressers. There were 3 class rotations, one for advanced haircutting, advanced up-do styling (led by Carla) and a look and lean for more haircutting and hair coloring. The event was such a huge success that the attendees wanted to sign up for next years Hair Camp. Our attending staff walked away with lots of inspiration and excitement and could’nt wait to put their newly acquired technical skills to work and share their knowledge with other staff members. Advanced education is a top priority at The Gallery. Kudos to Johnna, Alyssa, Giulia, Brianne and Lohammy for investing in their profession and always bettering their great skills!!!! What a great and fun learning experience!

Patrick Cameron
On May 10th, Lohammy and Carla attended a fantastic event, held at the Wella Studio in NYC, featuring the Iconic, up-do guru Patrick Cameron. It was a select group of attendees, numbering about 60, who were invited to attend. It was very inspiring and creative. In a 2 hour period, Patrick completed 6 up-styles that were amazing, from Avant Gard runway looks to salon friendly looks. His tips were fantastic and he executed them with great ease. He even did the Lady GaGa bow, whick took only a few minutes to do. Great work, great inspiration, great creativity is what Lohammy and Carla took home with them!!!

Dr Frank Elliott
On Monday May 17, the Gallery hosted a motivational seminar by Dr Frank Elliott, hairdresser, salon owner , PHD and author of “The Other Side of Hairdressing”. Prior to the event, he sent every staff member a copy of his book, so we could familiarize ourselves with the content of our class. His main objective was to strengthen our soft skills, which include how we can improve ourselves, to set goals, communication skills, our relationship with others, listening skills, image and better client service. It was inspiring and eye opening to better improve ourselves in relationship to our world.

Isaac Mizrahi
One or our Master Stylists, Nicole, recently worked for Isaac Mizrahi for his new spring line. Nicole designed all the hair for the show. The hair was styled in high ponytails with thick straight bangs (very new and modern).The clothes were casual with a dressy edge and classy. Hair is the ultimate accessory to any outfit and Nicole out did herself. Congrats on another successful show!!

The swirly clip
Our Artistic Director, Carla, just completed a 3 day shoot for a new kind of barrette, called the swirly clip. It is very versatile, comfortable to wear and easy to use. Carla designed all the looks for the clip and the styles varied from the Gym look to Elegant evening designs. Be on the look out, the commercial should be airing sometime this month on regular TV and Cable.

New Looks
Recently, The Gallery Staff participated in a 5 hr hands-on advanced cutting class conducted by Carla, who is a Master Associate with Paul Mitchell and co- owner of the Gallery. Everyone did an amazing job with the different techniques shown and it’s great to see our clients wearing some of the looks taught!!

The Gallery now carries a new Paul Mitchell product called Super Strong Liquid Treatment. It’s really taken off because it’s a miracle in a bottle. It is a leave-in spray treatment for damaged hair.
