SALON SAFETY GUIDELINES

RETURNING TO THE GALLERY 

TO OUR CLIENTS:

WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU FOR THE OUTPOUR OF LOVE AND SUPPORT WE HAVE RECEIVED THROUGHOUT THE LAST FEW MONTHS. WE ARE TRULY THANKFUL TO HAVE THE BEST CLIENTS IN THE BUSINESS. WHILE WE WERE APART, THE GALLERY PLANNED OUR COURSE OF ACTION FOR OUR SAFE RETURN. AS OF JUNE 22ND, EVERY NEW UPDATE AND PROCEDURE HAS BEEN IMPLEMENTED TO SAFEGUARD THE HEALTH OF OUR CLIENTS AND STAFF. YOUR FIRST COUPLE OF VISITS BACK TO THE GALLERY WILL BE A BIT DIFFERENT, BUT WE HAVE OUTLINED ALL DETAILS BELOW, TO ENSURE YOU FEEL INFORMED, COMFORTABLE, AND SAFE. THE GALLERY A SALON HOPES THESE NEWLY IMPLEMENTED CHANGES, ENHANCEMENTS, AND POLICIES WILL HELP YOU FEEL MORE SECURE IN YOUR HEALTH WHEN YOUR RETURN! WE CANNOT WAIT TO SEE YOUR SMILING FACES (UNDERNEATH A FACE MASK) BACK AT OUR SALON!

SCHEDULING

  • OPEN 6 DAYS A WEEK

  • EXTENDING OPERATING HOURS (exact hours to be determined)

  • ALTERNATING STYLIST SCHEDULES (to adhere to social distancing guidelines)

  • SCHEDULING TIME IN BETWEEN CLIENTS TO CLEAN & DISINFECT STATIONS AND TOOLS 

  • CURRENTLY NOT ACCEPTING WALK INS; APPOINTMENTS NEED TO BE SCHEDULED IN ADVANCE

  • UPON SCHEDULING YOUR APPOINTMENT, YOU WILL BE ASKED TO CONFIRM THAT YOU OR ANYONE YOU LIVE WITH HAVE NOT HAD ANY COVID-19 SYMPTOMS WITHIN THE LAST 14 DAYS 

  • ENACTING A DEPOSIT POLICY TO SECURE TIME SLOTS FOR LARGER APPOINTMENTS 

  • SALON WAITING AREA WILL NOT BE IN SERVICE; INSTEAD YOU WILL BE ASKED TO WAIT IN YOUR CAR UNTIL YOU RECEIVE A CALL FROM A RECEPTIONIST STATING THAT YOUR STYLIST IS READY FOR YOU

  • UNLESS YOU NEED ASSISTANCE OR AN AID, WE ASK THAT ONLY THE CLIENT BEING SERVICED ENTER THE SALON (no children/parents/friends may accompany you)

PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT & PROTOCOLS  

  • ALL STAFF AND CLIENTS WILL BE REQUIRED TO WEAR A FACE MASK WHILE IN THE SALON

  • TEMPERATURES OF ALL CLIENTS AND STAFF WILL BE TAKEN USING OUR NEW TOUCH THERMOMETERS

    • ANY CLIENT TEMPERATURE READING 99 DEGREES OR ABOVE WILL BE ASKED TO RESCHEDULE​

    • STAFF WILL BE SENT HOME UNTIL THEY ARE SYMPTOM FREE

  • EACH CLIENT WILL BE GIVEN A DISPOSABLE PAPER CAPE OR FRESH, CLEAN, & DISINFECTED CAPE (as we normally would give)

  • OUR STAFF WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING PPE ON WHILE IN THE SALON:

    • GLOVES CHANGED AFTER EACH CLIENT​​​

    • FACE MASK 

    • FACE SHIELD (instead of mask)

    • PROTECTIVE GOGGLES (for some)

    • DISINFECTED APRONS FOR SELF WEAR AFTER EACH NEW CLIENT 

  • ALL STAFF MEMBERS ARE NOW BARBICIDE COVID-19 CERTIFIED AND ARE UP TO DATE ON ALL NEW CLEANING AND SANITATION PROTOCOL/PROCEDURES 

INTERIOR SAFETY UPDATES

  • INSTALLED A UVC AIR PURIFICATION SYSTEM THAT WILL HELP ELIMINATE 98% OF ACTIVE GERMS THAT ARE FOUND WITHIN THE RECYCLED AIR OF THE SALON (see below video for more information)

  • PLEXIGLASS BARRIERS AT RECEPTION DESK (to separate clients and receptionists)

  • TAPED OFF WAITING AREA (will not be in use)

  • PLEXIGLASS BARRIER TO SEPARATE MANICURIST FROM CLIENT

  • REMOVAL OF CHAIRS FROM EVERY OTHER STATION

  • REMOVAL OF EVERY OTHER CHAIR AT COLOR BAR 

  • CLOSED OFF MIDDLE SINKS (both sides)

  • CLOSED OFF MIDDLE DRIERS (for highlighting process)

  • SELF-STYLING STATION WILL BE SUSPENDED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

  • TOUCH-LESS HAND SANITIZING UNITS WILL BE PLACED THROUGHOUT THE SALON, AS WELL AS HAND SANITIZER PUMPS AT EACH STYLING STATION 

  • TOUCH-LESS RESTROOM UTILITIES
